Retired from the job, but not the fight

Returns for Leukemia

Posted on May 25, 2015

This June the 4th it will be 2 years since Gina Anderson lost her battle with leukemia

The author Albert Pike said "What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal". Gina did so much for so many for so many years, it will be many, many lifetimes before her memory fades.

This weekend, May 23 & 24 the beer store will be holding its annual bottle drive with, they will be accepting donations of your returned bottle with all proceeds going towards research to end this terrible disease.

Returns For Leukemia is a fundraiser held each May by United Food & Commercial Workers Local 12R24 in partnership with The Beer Store to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.

Last year the bottle drive raised $1,707,012.24.

We urge members to consider returning your empties (beer, wine & spirits) this weekend and donate them to this most worthy of causes.
